SASSA might be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it really is alarmed concerning the higher quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area each day. The service point made for intervention encounters a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all customers and enhance usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
